Ding! Ding! Ding! A winner, and FINALLY. I’ve been around the horn with my rifle trying to find that one sweet pet load and its been a goat-rope until now. The greatest success I had prior to trying out the Hammer Hunter™ 260 was with a competitors 265gr bullet billed as a “long range” and it still wouldn’t print inside a 3/4 inch at 100 yards on the best day after exhaustive load development. I purchased a box of 50 Hammers. loaded for ladder looking for pressure and 15 rounds in, I found the mother of all sweet spots. It took me 15 rounds total to arrive at what will be my go-to load for the 338 LM. I loaded 10 rounds in that sweet spot load and printed two back to back 1/2″ groups and its moving at 3078fps with SD of 5 with ZERO pressure showing. My recipe is on the Hammer Bullets forum board – I didn’t know if it was okay to leave it here or not. If your looking at these, buy em! I seated to mag length minus a 1/2 thousandth for good measure and wont be changing a thing going forward – one and done load.

The best bullet yet for hunting and long range. I’m getting sub M.O.A. with the 262g Hammer Hunter™ at 100yards. You wont be disappointed with these bullets. I have tested the bullet to 1500yards and its hitting a 18×18 steel target. This is my load data. Every tool is different so it might not stay true to your tool.

I can’t say enough good things about Steve Davis and these bullets. I normally do not leave reviews for bullets until I have used them on animals but Steve deserves a review on bullet accuracy and customer service. I had a minor issue with my shipment and Steve made it more than right without me asking for anything. I couldn’t ask for better customer service. Also, these bullets are extremely accurate in my .338 Lapua. I shot two back to back 3 shot groups of .372 and .393 moa without any special load development. I highly recommend these bullets and company.

I have a custom built 340 weatherby with a 28” barrel and I just shot a 4 shot ladder test with these and gained 100fps and significant accuracy. I’ve got this bullet moving at 2964 fps and shooting sub half inch easily. And that was 4 rounds in half grain increments. I can’t wait to see what they do all loaded the same. Very impressed so far. Ps I shoot the 101g hammer hunters out of a custom .243 win and consistently see groups in the .178 or less range and they are one shot stoppers out of that rifle. Looks like these will make a trip to africa in may.
