I tried these in my Savage Axis 2. Just a stock rifle. Did a ladder test with H4350. Found a node between 54.5 and 55. Went with 54.6 and took it to the range. My wife shot a group we easily covered with a dime and had an average MV of 3134. Seated them at 3.100. Very happy with this load. That’s a good sized hollow point and should make for a pretty good whack factor.

I worked up a load and they shoot half moa. Very easy to work up…and then I got to put them to the test on a very large cow elk. My friend shot first with a 30-06 Barnes ttsx. Perfect shot placement and she was on her feet for 20 seconds. I shot a different cow with 270 WSM. She was down within 2 seconds! The petals broke off and shredded the lungs and the bullet shank passed through. I could not have been more impressed by this bullet. By far the most accurate shooting in my rifle and terminal performance is outstanding. I have shot elk with eldx, ttsx, sst, partition, accubond, cor lokt and now hammer is my go to bullet.
