We designed this bullet for the guys who have standard 1-10″ twist barrels that feel better shooting a bullet in the 200gr class with a good bc. The 196gr Hammer Hunter™ has the classic nose design of the other Hammer Hunters™ but with a shortened boat tail and longer baring surface in order to get the weight up. This one will be a great normal to long range hunting bullet.
Recommended minimum twist rate is 1-10″

Fantastic bullets! I switched to Hammer several years ago when the Barnes bullets I was using got near impossible to get. After working up loads and using them for a season of bear hunting, I’ll never hunt with anything else. They are forgiving to load and the terminal ballistics are unmatched. I’ve taken countless large black bears with them and never needed a follow up shot. If I’m loading hunting rounds, it’s always Hammer bullets. Thank you guys for making such an exceptional product!
