This 30 caliber 1-10″ twist will run in most of the standard twist rate factory rifles. In our testing of this Absolute Hammer™ we saw velocity gains in the 30-06 that puts it in the 300 Winchester Magnum performance class. When tested in the 300 Winchester Magnum the velocity gain put it squarely in the 300 Ultramag class. The Absolute Hammer™s do not line up with conventional data like the other Hammer Bullets, so they are recommended for experience hand loaders only.

I’m quite impressed with these bullets so far. With a bit of load development, they’re shooting sub 1/4” moa at 100 yds. Set up milk jugs today, and these actually penetrated further than the 196 Hunter at 6 jugs for the 178’s vs 5 for the 196’s. I grudgingly switched to these when Barnes became unavailable and I’m happy I made the switch. Amazing quality so far and the shipping time has been great. Can’t wait to drop some bears with these bullets

I received these the other day And like the way they look. But I decided to pull the gym tech scale out and way a few to see how consistent they were. And the weight fluctuated 1.25 grains at most on the 10 that I weighed. I’ve yet to load any and shoot them hopefully they are more consistent on shooting than they are on weight. I will repost after shooting them

I loaded my first 178gr Absolute Hammer™ bullets tonight and shot a 5 shot group, other than one 1/2″ flyer, set up issue I think, the other 4 were all touching. I cannot wait to finish working up a load for these bullets. Steve recommended the powder and I followed his advise of course and I’m not disappointed. Thank you Steve and Hammer bullets.
