I tried this bullet with a number of powders and would have been happy with just about any of them, Hunter did very well and I almost stopped there but wanted to try all the loads in the box. I had 4 of them to try. With a 22 inch Savage Axis 2, I shot a bug hole group with 48.0 of Superformance and a avg MV of 3535. Hunter was a half inch at 3465. Both would make a fine deer or pig load. Always faster than the same weight Barnes bullet by at least 50-100 fps. I used Starline brass with a cci 200 primer, and a slight Butterbean crimp. oal was 2.640.
