Based on the success of the 99gr Hammer Hunter, this 97gr Absolute Hammer™ will be a ton of really fast fun. A stiff dose of Ramshot Tac or rl-15 should get this one close to 3500 fps in the Creedmoor. The Absolute Hammer™s do not line up with conventional load data so only experienced re-loaders that can read pressure signs well should attempt to load these.

I had never tried the Absolute Hammer™ line of bullets I ordered a box and talked with some fellow Hammer shooters on facebook. One friend gave me a load to try that was 43 gr of IMR4166. My Savage loves it I’m getting 3270 fps from a 22 inch barrel. Then I tried working my way up with TAC and I was just below pressure limits with 44.0 and a regular primer. Average was 3407 from my Savage and from the wife’s Tikka I get another 50-60 fps Tiny five shot groups that I can’t see through the scope and I find myself doing a lot of walking while at the range with these bullets. I did pop one woodchuck with the TAC load at 100 yards. Rifle range is not a good place for them to hang out. I thought he would explode but when I walked up to him his head was gone. I guess that will do. Over all yet another great bullet from Hammer.

Load development pushed this bullet to 3550 FPS with Ramshot TAC 24” Krieger Barrel. Accuracy load was at 3487 FPS. Took this guy Prairie Dog hunting. In 20+mph winds this bullet did amazing when I did my job. Will be using it Fall of 2022 for hogs, deer, and, coyotes.

This 97gr. AH bullet moves at 2772 FPS out of an 18” 1-8 6.5 Grendel barrel. I couldn’t be happier with this bullet! Now for my recipe, and this is what I use so try it at your doing. 30.1gr. of 8208 xbr, cci #450 and a col. of 2.250. At 100yds it is A .221 group. I just wanted to share my data as it is hard to find good info for the Grendel.
