This one will outperform all other hammers (and monos in general) that can be shot from a 8″ twist. Works with a wide variety of powders, from as fast as xterminator and N133, to as slow as N140 and 2520. If you’re loading in the 223, it won’t load to mag length. Choose a energy dense powder as this one dips a good ways down into the case in the 223. You should see at least 3000fps from a 20″ barrel a ways before you hit pressure.

I run this in a 16” 22creed for varmits and whitetail deer. Everything has dropped DRT! Behind some Varget I’m getting 3440-3450fps. I’ll be shooting these a lot this upcoming predator contest season!

So, I loaded up five 68gr Hammer HHTs for my .22GT, with a 19 3/8” barrel. One charge each from 38.4 to 40gr H4350 in .4gr increments, in order to find max pressure. Only made it through the first three rounds before getting ejector marks, but they are smokin’ fast and those three rounds with three different charges went into about .25”. Still have more load development to do, but based on initial results, should be easy.
