These work great in my 6.8 western. Still fine tuning my load but shoots .75 groups now . 20” barrel suppress 2950 velocity. Deer last year tipped over in its tracks seen feet in my scope before come off target , 180yds bullet size hole in golfball out. Cow elk this year 180 yds took 3 steps and fell over . Also used the 117 HH in my 270 Winchester (shoots 1/4” groups) 3300 velocity shot both elk and deer with it didn’t nock them down as fast but nothing went more than 75yds . Pass thru even at 385 yds. Again pin hole in golfball out . Have never had to shoot anything twice . Cow elk on 270 was a frontal shot at 285 no exit hole but when I walked up to her looked like crime seen , massive amount of blood on ground. Antelope shot thru both back straps look like an archery hit 2” waist on entrance 4” waist on exit Have started reloading hammers for couple other people also . One shot kills . Hammer bullets simply put work . Period.
Have started reloading for some friends, all shoot sub MOA , 7mm08, two different 300 win mags. I like the hammer hunters best , HHTs make bigger holes in the ones I’ve tried so far , making shot placement more critical to not waist meet, still less than lead.
