I am in the early stages of testing the 163 HHT in my Tikka 300 Win Mag 24.3″ barrel, 1:10 twist. 82.5 grains of Reloder 26 powder in Peterson Cases has produced 3350 fps. I attempted to catch a bullet by putting (6) 1 gallon jugs of water together. The bullet went through all 6 at 100 yards. Velocity and penetration are there. Accuracy and performance on elk soon to come.

I got a sample pack to test in 300 Win Mag, two shots at 100 yards, 2” high and 1/2 inch group, 3230 fps, 72 grains RL17.
Going to test on deer in fall.

This bullet is a 10 out a 10 in my opinion, to long of story to post but here is the short version
N565 80.2 grains had 7 SD / 18 ES 4 shot average 3,245 FPS
H1000 80.6 grains had 4 SD / 11 ES 4 shot average 3,216 FPS
but the N565 grouped better (0.510 group) H1000 was 0.596
both are good with me but I had more of the N565 so that’s what I went with.
Success on a elk at 682 yards, yes way longer than I wanted to, BUT, that’s as close as I could get.
One shot, 682 yards, hard hit, spun and dropped, Lungs were mush.
Powder is Vihtavuori N565, 80.2 grains, Norma Brass, Winchester large rifle primer, 163 Hammer Hunter Tipped.
Rifle was a Weatherby 300-win mag, 307 Meat Eater. 1:10 twist 26 in barrel plus 2-inch brake
