Custom built 270 Win with Douglas XX 8 twist barrel crowned at 25 inches. Loaded with IMR 7828SSC I am getting 3199 FPS with ES in the teens and 1/2 MOA. Built it for Elk but finished it too late to hunt with, I did take a boar hog at 260 yds with it. Almost head on shot (on purpose) point of shoulder impact with exit off side hip. 1 inch exit wound, very wide wounding internally with approximately 30+ inches of bullet travel. Animal ran 60 yards and crashed with no blood trail but no blood trail is common with hogs, I have shot probably over 1000 of them in the last 30 years. Very impressed with allHammers I have used including this one.
