The Absolute Hammer™ is specific ogive design, that falls under our PDR patent, eliminating any engraving by the rifling forward of the shoulder of the bullet.  This bullet will not engage the lands anywhere on the ogive.  This eliminates distortion of the nose that causes changes in bc from rifle to rifle depending on how loose or tight the bore is.  The bonus to this design is greatly reduced engraving pressure resulting in significant gains in velocity compared to bullets of the same weight.  In our 280ai test rifles we gained 300-400 fps over conventional bullets of the same weight.  Given the low pressure and extra velocity these bullets produce, they should only be loaded by experienced hand loaders that are very good at reading pressure signs.  You will see that these bullets will require faster than normal powders for the cartridge and bullet weight.  Load with caution.

Twelve shot load development! Found pair and backed off half a grain. Loaded at 20k off the lands. A little heavy for 280 AI but 155 at 3000 fps is going to hit HARD!

Worked up a quick accurate load at 3030fps, just in time for the 2023 season. 6×6 bull elk at 320yds broadsided resulted in great results. Perfect bullet performance; shank exited along with 1 petal. 2nd petal found just under offside hide and 3rd found when processing.
Took an antelope buck 2 days later with great results, 3 petals exiting about 3-4 inches around the shank.

A week later a friend used it to harvest his 6×6 bull elk. First shot hit him broadside through the lungs at 385yds. The bull walked 50ish yards downhill and laid down. After 2 minutes, he stood up and my friend hit him with a second shot, tight to the front leg and through the heart at around 285yds. The bull took about 10 steps and laid back down, finally putting his head down after about 30 seconds. While field dressing, it appears both shots failed to perform as designed; petals did not separate and did not expand much just through and through.

I will try the tipped version to see if that performs better
